Subject: Urgent Appeal to Redefine the “Climate Crisis” as the “Earth Crisis” – Recognizing the Reality behind the Global Collapse
Dear Mr. António Guterres & Dr. Stiell,
I am writing with deep concern and urgency to call upon the UNFCCC – United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to reassess and redefine the dominant terminology and framing used to address global environmental collapse. The widely accepted term “Climate Crisis” no longer serves the full truth and global reality. It represents a scientifically narrow, politically convenient and increasingly manipulated narrative that fails to capture the realities on the ground.

The Urgency to Shift from “Climate Crisis” to “Earth Crisis”
The term “Climate Crisis” has been heavily promoted by global institutions, global mainstream media and the global scientific communities. While climate change is undoubtedly real, the problem lies in its reductionist framing, where CO₂ emissions are treated as the sole villain – at the expense of ignoring deeper and broader forms of environmental collapse.

The Human Greed Crisis is:

Encouraged by a profit-driven world order;
Hidden behind carbon trading, greenwashing and PR campaigns;
Silenced by mainstream media colluding with States and Corporations;
To solve the Earth Crisis, we must first confront the Human Greed Crisis with truth, accountability and structural reform.
Why the UNFCCC Must Lead this “Paradigm Shift”
As a global leader in climate discourse, the UNFCCC has a historic responsibility to ensure that its framing is scientifically honest, ethically sound and globally representative. This is a call to:
Acknowledge and adopt the term “Earth Crisis” in international communications, mainstream media, frameworks and agreements.
Dismantle the carbon-only narrative and broaden the climate agenda to include all facets of environmental destruction.
Open space for truth-tellers – including independent journalists, grassroots activists, indigenous leaders and researchers outside the mainstream – to share uncensored realities of the crisis.

Hold accountable those who benefit from climate simplification and greenwashed solutions that protect profit but not the planet.
